It was inspired by a photo. that a neighbor had given to Lorise.
She had taken it of two local horses who had been dressed up for a Winter holiday event.

Lorise who never met an animal that she didn't like, asked if she could borrow the photo. to do an illustration of it. She was granted full permission and gave the original pencil sketch to her neighbor to say thank you.
